"You Know Me Better" is a song I co-wrote with Ron Sexsmith. Please feel free to share!
From Saint John, NB, Jessica Rhaye works the fertile folk/pop/country ground somewhere west of The Waifs and east of a young Cindy Church. There are a number of impressive co-writes on the ambitious Far Gone Lullabies, including You Know Me Better, on which Rhaye shares credit with the righteous Ron Sexsmith.
Excited to finally be prepping the release of my new album "Far Gone Lullabies", which I recorded between the birth of my son and daughter. It has been a busy couple of years, but I had the pleasure of co-writing with Ron Sexsmith, Royal Wood, Steve Poltz, and Kevin Fox + the likes of Gordie Sampson, Ed Woodsworth, Brian Talbot, Jamie Foulds, and the Saint John String Quartet lend their talents to the project. I hope you enjoy! Below is a picture of my son and I in pre-production with producer Ed Woodsworth, at my home, in the projects infancy.
Sleepwalk, a track off Far Gone Lullabies, is featured on the cover mount CD of Maverick Magazine (Vol 6, Issue 122)!
Pre-release reviews of "Far Gone Lullabies" are coming in and so far so good!

The second eldest of five children, Canadian singer-songwriter and award-winning graphics artist Jessica Rhaye’s first memories of music came at the tender age of five in the form of a mic that her father had brought home, and soon all-sung out from singing other people’s songs, she turned her hand at writing her own. The rest, as they say, is history and now four albums on, plus a successful freelance graphic designs business impressively tucked beneath her belt, Jessica shows she’s very much following both her creative destinies. The new album FAR GONE LULLABIES is simply beautiful; a lullful, captivating mix of acoustic country-pop, thoughtfully arranged and intimately written. You can’t help but be drawn in by her enchanting, at times purring voice, melody-heavy arrangements and story-laden songs.
