Jessica Rhaye Performing Tonight at Trailside Café

Singer-Songwriter Jessica Rhaye will be showcasing songs from her new album Short Stories at the Trail Side Café this Thursday August 23rd at 8pm.

The Trail Side Café is known for featuring some of the country's top singer / songwriters and Rhaye, who’s pop folk style has been compared to artist Beth Orton crossed with Jewel’s vocal sensuality, is one not to be missed.

Her latest album Short Stories was nominated for a 2007 East Coast Music Award for Pop Recording of the year while her self-titled release landed her three ECMA nominations, including New Artist, Pop Artist and Female Artist of the Year.

Rhaye's songwriting has placed her as a finalist in the International John Lennon Songwriting Competition and at this past years Canadian Music Week Radio Star Competition.

The performer has a few select live dates in the region in the coming months, including a performing at this year Atlantic Film Festival with PEI’s own Rose Cousins.

She is also planning to tour the UK with fellow Maritime Artists Dave Gunning and Matt Andersen in November.
